How Credits Work

When a credit is used, how to see your balance, and how to buy more.

On your LeaseMax account, credits are what let you start new deals after you're signed in. Plans and bundles are how you buy more coverage. Editing or refreshing a deal you already built does not use another credit. This guide explains when a credit is used and what to do when you run out.

What a credit is (in plain English)

Think of a credit as one prepaid vehicle report slot on your account. Plan cards often show how many vehicles an option covers. That quantity is the credits (or report slots) you receive when you buy that plan.

Exact names and prices are always on the screen. This guide does not list dollar amounts that might change.

When a credit is used

ActionUses a credit?
Your first guest deal (before an account)Covered by the purchase you make for that report, not the dashboard credit badge
Get New Deal / New Deal while signed inYes, 1 credit, when you select Confirm on Ready for Your New Deal? (not when you open the form)
Edit / Update an existing dealNo. You can edit saved deals as often as you want without spending another credit
Refresh pricing on a saved dealNo. Re-checks lender programs for that deal (use when numbers may be stale)
Download a deal sheet you already unlockedNo. Download alone does not use a credit
Unlock Other Banks for a dealSeparate purchase. See Pay for Other Bank Quotes

Where to see your balance

On the dashboard (especially on a computer), look for the credits badge near the top of Home. It shows how many deal credits you have left.

If you select Get New Deal with 0 credits, LeaseMax shows Oops! / You are out of credits. / Add more credits to proceed. Select Continue to open plans.

How to buy more credits

  1. On the dashboard, select Add More Credits (or open /bundles-plans).
  2. You'll see Affordable Bundle Plans! with cards showing name, price, vehicles covered, and What's included:.
  3. Choose Get Report! (single) or Get Bundle! (package). On a phone, select a card then Continue.
  4. Complete payment on the secure Stripe page you're sent to.

Details: Plans & Bundles.

Guest path vs. credits

You can complete a first deal without an account. You pay for that report, then create an account on the thank-you page. After that, additional shopping on the dashboard runs on credits.

Troubleshooting

  • Oops! / You are out of credits. Select Continue, then buy a plan with Add More Credits (or from the plans page).
  • I bought a plan but the badge didn't change. Refresh the dashboard; if it still looks wrong, log out and back in.
  • I'm not sure what I purchased. Reopen /bundles-plans and read the card's What's included: and vehicles label. The card is what you bought.
