Understand Your Deal
On-screen deal page vs the Understanding Your Deal PDF section.
After LeaseMax builds a deal, you see an on-screen summary. Later you download a full deal sheet PDF with real program numbers and a section literally titled Understanding Your Deal. This guide covers both: and is clear about what's sample layout vs. final numbers.
Before you start
- Build a deal first: Build Your Lease Deal.
- For the full PDF after payment: Download Your Deal Sheet.
Part A: Your on-screen deal page (/deal)
How you get here
- From the calculator, select Next.
- Watch the short progress animation: Building Your Deal → Searching for Banks → Finishing Details → Done! (the real build already finished when you selected Next: this sequence is loading UI while your deal page appears).
- You land on
/deal. Use Back (top-left) to return to the calculator and change inputs.
Real lender selection happened when you selected Next. For why a program was chosen, see Why This Lender.
Your information and vehicle
- Name, location, email, phone: may show placeholders like "Your Name" until you fill the checkout form beside the deal.
- Vehicle card: year/make/model, VIN, annual mileage, lease term, brand logo.
The vehicle card may label mileage Annual Milage (missing an "e"): that's the on-screen label today.
The Lease Options table (on-screen)
The table teaches the labels you'll see on a deal sheet: Due At Signing columns, term rows, monthly payment, RV%, RV, money factor, I. Fees, Rbt.
On this page (and on the calculator), the bold monthly payment cells can still be sample placeholders used for layout. Treat the table as a preview of structure. Your authoritative numbers are on the downloadable deal sheet PDF after you've completed payment for the full report.
Document Ready / Dashboard Ready
You may see badges split as Document / Ready and Dashboard / Ready. They signal that the report path is prepared. Your deal is fully saved under your account after you register or log in (often on the post-payment page): not always the moment these badges appear.
What to do next on this page
Fill in Full name, Email, and Phone on the form, then select Checkout to continue toward plans, reassurance, and payment.
Part B: Understanding Your Deal on the PDF
When you open the full deal sheet (/pdf) and download it, look for the section titled Understanding Your Deal. That section includes:
Vehicle Pricing Breakdown
- Total MSRP of your car
- Discount requested
- Rebates you qualify for
- Selling price (what the payment is based on)
Due At Signing and terms
- Cash due on day one, term, and Terms and Conditions (tax by ZIP, DAS including first month + tax/title/reg where stated, acquisition and dealer fees included as described, subject to credit approval).
Balloon leases (when present)
If the program is a balloon, the PDF may show a balloon marker (🎈) and a short What is a balloon lease? explanation.
How to read table labels (PDF)
- Monthly payment: what you pay each month for that option.
- RV% / RV: residual percentage and dollar residual.
- Money factor: lease interest; rough APR ≈ money factor × 2,400.
- I. Fees: inception fees.
- Rebate (PDF) / Rbt (some on-screen views): incentives applied.
- Optional Dealer Cash.
Compare monthly payment and Due At Signing together: a lower monthly with much higher cash up front isn't always better for you.
Troubleshooting
- Still animating. Wait until Done!
- Placeholders for name/email. Fill the checkout form on the side.
- Can't find the deal. Rebuild from the calculator so you get a proper deal link; use Back to edit.
- Numbers seem off. Adjust vehicle, ZIP, credit, term, or mileage and rebuild; for a saved deal, use Refresh on the dashboard.
