Update Your Profile

How to view and change your name, phone number, and password on your LeaseMax profile, and how to fix common save errors.

Your profile holds the personal details that appear on your account and on your deal sheets. This guide shows you which details you can change, how to save them, and what to do if a save doesn't go through.

Before you start

  • You'll need to be logged in. If you're not sure how, see Log In.
  • From your dashboard, open Profile in the left-side menu (or go to /dashboard/profile). For a full tour, see Your Dashboard.

What's on your profile

The Profile page is titled Profile with the note Edit your Personal Details. Inside the Profile Information card you'll find four fields:

  • Name: your name. You can edit this.
  • Phone Number: your contact number. You can edit this.
  • Email: the email address on your account. This is locked and shown with a small lock icon. You can't change it here.
  • Password: shown as dots. You change it through a separate window, not by typing in the field.

The Name, Phone Number, and Email fields start as read-only (shaded gray). A field turns white and editable only after you unlock it with its pencil button. Email stays locked.

How to change your name or phone number

  1. Find the field you want to change (Name or Phone Number).
  2. Select the pencil button next to that field. The box turns white, which means you can now type in it.
  3. Type your new details.
  4. When you're done, select Save at the bottom of the page.
  5. You'll see the message User successfully updated! when it saves.

How to change your password (while signed in)

This is different from the email reset password flow: you must know your current password.

  1. Select the pencil next to Password. A Change your Password window opens.
  2. Enter Current Password, New Password, and Confirm Password. Use the eye icon to show or hide.
  3. Select Update (it may show Updating while it saves). The window closes when it succeeds.

New password and confirmation must match. If they don't, you'll see "Passwords must match. Please try again." Each password field accepts up to 15 characters.

How to update your email

The Email field is locked (lock icon) and can't be edited here. Contact LeaseMax support if you need the email changed: Get Help From Max or book a call.

Deleting your account

At the bottom of the card, Delete Account. has an information icon: deleting is permanent. You'll be asked to confirm. Use only if you're sure: deals and details can't be recovered.

Troubleshooting

  • My new details didn't change. Make sure you selected the pencil button to unlock the field first. If the box is still shaded gray, it's locked and won't accept changes.
  • I see "Please fill all the fields." Your name, phone number, and email all need a value before you can save. Fill in anything that's blank, then select Save again.
  • I see "Error updating User" or "Error updating Profile." The save didn't reach LeaseMax. Check your internet connection and try Save again in a moment. If it keeps failing, log out and back in, then retry.
  • The password window won't let me save. Your New Password and Confirm Password must match exactly. Re-type them carefully. Each can be up to 15 characters.
  • I can't edit my email. That's expected. Email is locked on this page. Contact support to change it.
